Starting Point - 10/27-12/1

If you are interested in learning more about UPBC or begin the process of joining our church body, then Starting Point is for you! Starting Point is a 6-week class that meets during the Sunday school hour. If you are interested in joining the class, please email Kristina at kristina.magallan@upbchouston.org

Men’s Fall Book Study - Wednesdays in November

The men of UPBC will begin their study of an Introduction to Systematic Theology. The main text for this class, other than the Bible, will be Stephen Wellum’s recently released volume, Systematic Theology, From Canon to Concept. This is a bit of a “bug squasher” and you don’t need to purchase the book to participate. But if you’d like to have it, you’ll be helped by it. We’ll take five weeks to cover this first section, Lord willing. The study will be held on 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4, and 12/11 from 7-8:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

Thanksgiving Lunch - 11/17

Join us in the Fellowship Hall for Thanksgiving lunch on Sunday, November 17th at noon. Bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share! All are welcome to come!

Special Members’ Meeting - 12/8

This meeting will be held right after the worship service. This meeting is to give your final vote for the 2025 church budget. This meeting will not have a discussion.

Christmas Carols & Cookies - 12/8

Join us for our first Christmas Carols & Cookies on December 8th at 5 PM. We will gather outside on our new East Lawn. This event is open to the public. Invite your friends and family.

Women’s Book Club - Fall & Winter

We will continue our Women’s Book Club this fall and winter with a deep dive into the doctrine of God. Join us for an accessible, yet challenging book on the attributes of God entitled “None Greater: The Undomesticated Attributes of God” by Matthew Barrett. We will have four months to slowly read and meditate on this book, with the goal of leading us to greater worship of our great God! “The attributes of God show us exactly why God is worthy of worship: there is none like him. Join Matthew Barrett as he rediscovers these divine perfections and finds himself surprised by the God he thought he knew.” To join the book club and stay accountable, please fill out this form or sign up in the back of the sanctuary. Also, save the date for Friday, January 10th at 6:30 pm. We will meet up at Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co. in Sugarland Town Square to discuss the book and enjoy some fellowship.
